Giorgio

Sexo: Macho

Raza: Mestizo

Giorgio lived in the countryside. He had to get by on his own all alone. And, what is worse, he was lamed on a paw due to an accident. The saddest thing is that he was just a puppy of less than a year.

When we got to know about his existence, we asked to bring him to the shelter since we knew he could not manage to live longer in that way.

From the start, and despite the suffering and confusion, Giorgio has always been so grateful. He was being prepared to get an operation during two weeks: his femoral head of his read, right paw had to be cut as it did not fit in his hip, he had to gain some weight and be well nourished. Even in that situation, with that incredible pain in his paw, Giorgio has always smiled to us and moved his little tail, showing feeling confidence with us.

The operation was a complete success. He had to keep rest in a small cage so he could not move, where Giorgio showed how well-mannered and calm he is. His rehabilitation started: we helped him with his rehabilitation exercises every day, twice a day. Moreover, he went once a week to the beach and to the swimming pool of a volunteer so he could swim and reinforce his musculature and articulation. Two months later, the vet was positively surprised by seeing how well Giorgio was recovered. Recovering the musculature a bit more was then the only aim since he was absolutely perfect: he has no pain, he can play and run enjoying a normal life perfectly.

He is a really sweet and cheerful dog, that emits a balanced energy constantly. Therefore, Giorgio is the perfect dog for new families. He is a loving dog and he is easily led by people. He is easy-going with children. He can walk on leash smoothly and loves to greet everybody moving his little tail and smiling. He can go by car and he is so sociable with other dogs. He also loves playing with balls and knows basics orders, although he learns whatever the volunteers teach him really fasts. He is also sociable with cat, although he may feel uncomfortable at first and may bark them if cats approach too close. Giorgio just needs a few days to get used to them and start loving them.

To sum up, Giorgio is the perfect dog. You would never find a more noble and grateful dog than him. The only thing he needs is: a family.
